Rhythm Kids® is the perfect program to get your child ready for formal instrument lessons when they are a little older. There are so few programs out there available for this age group and it's burstingh with fun and playful education! This fantastic program guides children towards developmentally appriopriate music and movemebt activities, where they can begin to take charge, lead others, work as a group, and be musically creative!
This class is geared for children 4-8 years old. All children will be required to use a djembe drum in each class. Purchased the first semester, you will continue to use your drum each semester you'll be in class. Each week we will play on our djembe drums, ding, dance, play rhythm instruments, and play music based games. Here are some of the fun skills we will be doing in Rhythm Kids®:
- Learn multicultural drumming patterns
- Develop new repertoire on varios percussion instruments
- Explore movement and dance while singing
- Play games based on music and drumming
- Learn to lead a group as well as take turns with others
